GUIDE TO VISA

The total duration of a Schengen visa for one stay or a succession of several stays may not exceed 3 months (90 days) per half year. Please note that :


APPLICATION FOR VISAS MUST BE LODGED AS FOLLOWS :

  1. If the visa applicant intends to stay in one of the Schengen countries only, then he/she will have to present the application to the Consular Office of that country

  2. If the visa applicant wishes to stay in several of these countries, he will have to apply at the office of the country which constitutes his main destination in terms of duration and purpose of stay.

  3. Where the main destination cannot be determined, the first Schengen State of entry will be the one qualified to issue the visa.

  4. In Indonesia, the only Greek Issuing Authority for Schengen visas is the Consular Section of the Embassy of Greece in Jakarta


VISA REQUIREMENTS

INDIVIDUALS

  1. Valid passport for at least 6 months after the expiry of the visa and a photocopy of the passport.

  2. A copy of valid personal identity card (KTP) and family card (Kartu Keluarga/KK).

  3. Two most recent passport-size photos (4x6 - white background); one is affixed on the form.

  4. A visa application form to be supplied by the Consular Section must be filled out in English.
    - Since the processing is computerized, completing the application in a clear, legible way is of utmost importance. Illegible applications will be returned. Please write in capital letters, sign and ensure that the application is fully completed.

  5. A valid airline reservation printout.
    - The ticket must have an exit or return date.
    - The original airline ticket must be shown upon the collection of the passport.

  6. Reference Letter issued by the company where the applicant is working.
    - The signature in the guarantee letter must be endorsed or certified .
    - The person who signs the guarantee letter cannot be the same with the person who is being sponsored.
    - The company must submit its Registration Certificate and Trade Permit Certificate. If the Company Registration Certificate has not been endorsed by the Department of Justice, it then must be certified by the notary public.
    - The letter must specify the applicant's position, how long he/she has been working for, salary, and the return date to work.

  7. Applicants must submit proof of sufficient financial funds.
    - Applicant(s) must produce the most recent original statement of his/her original bank personal account.
    - If an original personal bank account statement cannot be submitted, a copy with the bank's authorisation must be presented (bank's official stamp).
    - Copy of credit card(s).

  8. An applicant, not currently working in a company, must submit the same requirements as per paragraphs 6 and 7 concerning his/her immediate sponsor (father, husband, brother, etc.) together with the Family Card to prove his/her relationship with the sponsor.

  9. Personal travel insurance with minimum coverage of 35,000 Euros.
    (This travel insurance has to cover emergency medical treatment by a doctor, medicines, urgent ambulance transportation and repatriation to home country if required).

  10. Confirmed hotel reservation (confirmation is to be proved by the hotel voucher).

  11. Each visitor should be able to present, upon request by the immigration officer at the airport, the airline ticket as per paragraph 5 and a reasonable amount of money proportionate to the length of stay. Usually the amount should be no less than US$500.

  12. Mothers travelling with their children must submit a written permission signed by their husband. The signature must be certified by the notary public.

  13. Applications forms for minors must be signed by both parents. In case of sole guardianship, the guardian must sign and provide respective proof of sole guardianship. If the application form is not signed at the consular office, signatures of parents or guardian must be certified by the notary public.

  14. If application forms are not accompanied by the required documents, they will be returned. Should the application reach this office incomplete for a second time, the issuing of the visa could be refused.

  15. The process of the application takes approximately 14 (fourteen) days.

    TOURIST GROUPS

  16. Each member of the group must fulfil the above mentioned requirements.

  17. The tour operator or organizer must submit airline tickets for each person in the group or if this is not possible a reservation list print out by the airline company. However, upon the collection of the passport, original airline tickets for each person in the group must be shown.

  18. The tour operator or organizer must provide a detail list of the persons of the group and itinerary of the group (such as hotels, places to be visited, etc) that must be certified by the notary public.

  19. The tour operator or organizer must submit its Company Registration Certificate and its Trade Permit Certificate. If the Company Registration Certificate has not been endorsed by the Department of Justice, It then must be certified by the notary public.
