A. Greek Citizens General Information
Each new Family Share has a new serial number added to the previously existed Family Share in the group.
The husband and the wife get the serial number within the family (ie. FSN 366/1 or /2). Each child born to the family gets an added number after the parents' (ie. 366/3,4,... etc). When one of the children is married, has to get a new Family Share as soon as the wedding takes place by bringing the certificate of wedding to the registrar of the municipality or community where the old family belonged to, asking to be transferred to a new Family Share of the same municipality or community or to another municipality or community where the new couple has decided to reside. With the official extract document proving that both members of the new family (ie. the new couple) have been crossed out from their parent family shares and the original Wedding Certificate are submitted to the new registrar and a new family share is created at the municipality or community of their selected residence.

B. Foreign Citizens General Information
1. VISAS (Information - Application - Tourist Visa, Visa with intention to work in Greece, Visa issued to Seaman being members of crew aboard Greek vessel, Visa with intention to study at a University or Higher Education Institution, Visa issued to depended members of an alien working in Greece over two years with the intention of a family being united.)
A foreign citizen can apply for a visa of entry to Greece or visiting Greece first, then to enter the rest of the Schengen States.
After all necessary documents and appropriate forms have been properly submitted and accepted, a visa could be obtained within a period of about one to two weeks.

2. Legalization of documents
For your own convenience, it is advisable that you make an appointment in advance with the competent officer of the Consular Office, and if possible, to submit the various relevant documents by registered mail service or personal delivery, and expect the result in a few days.
